Roulette Strategy – Successful Roulette Systems!

You’ve probably heard of players talking about a winning roulette strategy. Here are the best most popular roulette strategies:

„Marches“ roulette strategy »

In this system, а skilled player works according to mathematical principles, because the only thing he does is calculate probabilities. This works with the help of a list with the previous results, which are made freely available by the bank. Based on this list, you can find out the frequency and thus calculate the probability with which a certain number is hit. However, a skilled player does not start immediately after his calculation, but first waits for a few rounds (known as coups) in order to balance expectations until the numbers marked are actually hit by the ball.

„The Martingales game“ casino strategy »

The Martingale system is based on a mathematical principle. In the Martingale system you double your bet with each coup. The idea behind it is that once you win, you have erased all previous losses and at the same time made a small profit. This is a mathematical fact. However, there are two important factors that speak against this system: First, there are usually maximum sums when playing games. The system fails if the current bet is not allowed to be duplicated and becomes lost. In addition, only small profits can be achieved, while a significant amount of money can be lost very quickly. In spite of this, the chances of a small plus after several coups are certainly fulfilled if the system is consistently adhered to.

„Montante Américaine“ casino strategy »

This is one of the most popular approaches because in this system the profit chances are relatively high, while the risk of loss can be kept relatively low. This system is also based on the principle that losses must be offset by profits. You use a fairly simple notepad, on which you write the numbers 1 to 4 in a row. In the case of the mentioned system, the outer numbers are always added and their sum is set. Numbers used for the addition are thrown out, the sums set in the case of a loss are added and included in the system. From a mathematical point of view, chances of winning are good, because you can lose two chips without facing losses in the medium term.

Montante Hollandaise »

This system differs only marginally from the Montante Américaine, and that’s why we will focus on explaining only the differences. Here you do not record the numbers 1 to 4 from the beginning, but start recording with the first loss. Since you always put only one chip or unit up to your loss, you must write down after the first loss. You will then write the respective value of the loss, while for every win you will have the number at the left end of your number chain. After the first loss, your bet is determined by the not yet crossed out number. If this has the value x, you set x + 1 chips / units.

Progression d’Alembert »

The Progression d’Alembert which name derives from its creator – the French mathematician Jean-Baptiste le Rond d’Alembert,  is based on his Theory of Equalisation. In this system, experienced players proceed towards attempts for minimizing the use of a chip or a unit. You double this after each loss, but drive it down again after each win, until you finally arrive at a chip. Theoretically, it is possible to make a small profit after six games, of which three have been won and three have been lost. However, the system ignores the number zero. If the ball hits the zero at the roulette, neither Red (Rouge) nor Black (Noir) has won. The chance to lose money after a long game is thus higher than the chance to win money. The system is not as popular with some players as the Montante Américaine, in which (purely mathematically) less must be won to achieve a profit.

The Fitzroy System »

The Fitzroy system is slightly simpler than the systems listed above. With this system, you set a chip after each win. Only in the event of a loss do you set a single unit. It should be noted that the Fitzroy system is not a doubling system. While in some other systems, such as the Martingale game, the bet is doubled after each loss; in this system you actually delay the easy progression of „plus one chip“. As a result, losses do not accumulate as quickly as with the other systems. In addition to this more modern version, there is still the classic version of the game.

The Parol example »

One might best explain the Parol example as the opposite of the Martingale game. You do not double your bet after every loss, but after each win. If a win occurs, you leave the profit as well as the original bet in the game and play with this sum once more. If you win again, you now play with a double bet, consisting of profit and former bet or the bet after the first coup. This strategy continues until you either lose or win the desired sum. If you lose, you begin again with one unit.

The Labouchère Roulette System »

Labouchère is just another name for the Montante Américaine system, that we already described. It owes its origin to Henry du Pré Labouchère, who lived in England from the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century.

The Garcia System »

This system was discovered by Spaniard Gonzalo Garcia and is based more on observation than on mathematical considerations. Garcia suspected that the turntables are not perfectly rounded or positioned at many roulette games. Therefore, he also had suspicions that certain numbers must occur more frequently than others. The fact that specific numbers had been accumulating had already become noticeable to him before his experiment, which provided the occasion for the further investigation. In the course of 5,000 revolutions, he calculated for each number, the quantity of tokens that would have to be hit by the ball. He found that some numbers gained above average, so their profit rate exceeded the standard deviation. He finally marked these numbers as hotspots. Any experienced player who wants to use this system requires a trained eye, a lot of patience, and a list to which he has entered and often won the number, so he can recognize and put on these hotspots. Since each turntable is individual, a longer observation is recommended before you start playing.

The Parity Roulette strategy »

This strategy is unknown to most players and is not very common. Profitability is the basic idea behind it. If the winning chance is higher for a red number, bet on Rouge; if the winning chance is higher for a black number, bet on Noir. The profit chances of the individual numbers or colours are determined by means of a rather complicated list and a longer procedure (on a separate note sheet). It is, however, mentioned again that this system is completely unknown to most roulette players and is only partially understood by many who are familiar with it.
